The apres-ski scene is laid back and relaxed during the week, with weekends tending to be busier creating a great atmosphere. The village has plenty of non skiing activities including ice skating, swimming, bowling, sports centre and gym, walking trails and paragliding.

There is an international ice and snow sculpture competition organised each year at Valloire, where during 3 days and 3 nights in January enormous blocks of snow 4m x 4m are brought to life by sculptors from all over the world….an unmissable event! The great Galibier chase takes place annually; sleigh dogs meet on the slopes of the Galibier.
